Imagine...

Your adventurers have made it in to speak with the king of the Dwarves. They need him to agree to a peace treaty with the elves, but he refuses, unless the party quests to find the pieces of the Shattered Tablet. Once they have the pieces and return, he will be able to make amends with Moradin.

To add flavor to your campaign, why not try your hand at making a shattered tablet... Or one still intact? The following websites allow you to type in your word or phrase and then translate into the script of elves or the runes of dwarven kind.

For this project, you will need:
Water
Cornstarch
Baking Soda
Cling wrap
Parchment paper
Medium sized cooking pot
Cookie sheet
Access to stove and oven
Straight edge
Tongue depressor or Popsicle stick
Baby Wipes
Paint brushes
Black and white paint, I used Apple Barrel Jet Black and Snow White

Not only is this a super recipe for tablets, you can also use it to make Christmas ornaments, Halloween decorations (headstones anyone?), Easter decor, and just cause.
